Located in Lowell, MA

JOB SUMMARY:

Supervise and control all the shift production related Preventive Maintenance activities and administer the PM Program to help meet OEE targets for key assets and ensure compliance Process Safety Management requirements.

Must also provide maintenance support to operating production lines and oversee facility critical systems. Interface, coordinate and follow up on all maintenance activities and ensure all shift maintenance activities are completed per schedule requirements.

Other duties include training mechanics on new equipment, vendor interface, special projects, managing critical spare parts and building/refining Preventive Maintenance Programs.

Day-to-Day Role:

Ø Inspect and oversee facilities to resolve problems

Ø Perform a variety of maintenance activities as needed

Ø Develop and maintain a planning and scheduling routine and preventive maintenance of equipment, prioritizing and estimating work and technical assistance when developing job plans

Ø Manage, motivate, develop, and provide direct leadership to maintenance staff

Ø Hire and oversee outside professionals such as electricians, plumbers etc.

Ø Inspect and maintain building systems such as heating, electrical, air conditioning, ventilation etc.

Ø Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment

Ø Keep in check and regulate budget and track maintenance expenditures

Ø Regularly check and inspect the material and tools inventory and place order when needed

Ø Assist with the implementation of capital projects

Ø Obtain MA State Special Engineer license for Steam Plant and serve as licensed to "operate and have charge" (company will train)

Ø Serve as Incident Commander for facility's Emergency Response Plan (company will train)

Ø Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety rules, guidelines, and regulations

Core Skills & Qualifications:

Ø 10+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience, OR 3+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role.

Ø Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) will be considered an advantage

Ø In-depth knowledge of different building systems (heating, electrical, compressed air, ventilation etc.)

Ø Basic computer skills, including but not limited to email, Microsoft Office suite, and JD Edwards or similar ERP system.

Ø Familiarity with relevant health and safety standards and regulations

Ø Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ø Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

Ø Skilled at troubleshooting

Ø Experience operating Steam Plant a plus (company will train)
