Job Purpose:
The Sr. Account Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. The Sr.

Account Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue in new accounts by identifying, qualifying and closing new business in line with NIC Partners' strategy of proving and managing a defined set of business solutions including Convergence, IP Telephony, Mobility and Networking.

The Sr. Account Manager will create customer relationships with a "consultative" approach to bringing technology solutions to business challenges.

Their knowledge and understanding of selling IP Telephony, Wireless, Networking, and other IP based solutions will be key to creating alliances with our customers.

The candidate must be high energy, forward thinking, and a positive influence on the team and the clients. Planning and participating in marketing and business development activities is required.

Essential Job Functions:


Develop significant pipeline of new opportunities within defined geographic area, using a variety of techniques including cold calling, networking, existing contacts and developing business partner relationships.

Develop Solutions and understand customer business processes, technology and communications needs and business issues, and developing an NIC Partners solution to meet those needs

Represent NIC Partners Services - Utilizing existing business and professional relationships to introduce NIC Partners, our solutions and distinct advantages to prospects.

Manage Relationships - Create a rolling 3-month communications strategy and detailed action plan to ensure corporate objectives are being met
Sales Forecasting - Accurately forecast sales activity and align with account plan
Quarterly business reviews and one-on-ones with Director of Sales to identify and achieve internal strategic and tactical goals

Responsibilities/Duties
Attend required meetings for collaboration and communication efforts.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, standards and safety rules.
Performs other duties as assigned and directed.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines or to fulfill travel obligations.

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a Sales role within the IT Industry.
  • Experience selling Cisco solutions is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education/job experience
