Front Desk Coordinator

General Summary: This position provides concierge-level support at the campus reception area. As the face of the university, the coordinator welcomes and assists visitors, handles inquiries, and manages various administrative tasks. This full-time position requires a presence on campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Campus Entry Processes:
- Answer calls professionally, convey messages, and serve as a backup for the university's telephone system.
- Greet, welcome, direct, and announce visitors.
- Provide campus and local information to visitors.
- Facilitate the delivery of materials to visitors.
- Serve on campus response and reentry teams as needed.
- General Administration and Campus Services:
- Support campus events and activities.
- Manage campus supply inventory and place orders.
- Maintain supplies and collateral for reception desks.
- Update campus events calendar and seating list.
- Update campus video monitors with relevant news and information.
- Prepare mailers for shipping and delivery services.
- Support campus safety and security initiatives.
- Human Resources Support:
- Assist with onboarding documents and I-9 processes.
- Manage reception area coverage and schedule for Student Workers.
Technical, Managerial, and People Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of administrative experience in a customer service-oriented role.
- Outstanding customer service skills and excellent telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and phone systems.
- Ability to interact with various personalities with tact and diplomacy.
- Self-directed, able to perform tasks with minimal supervision, and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with the local area and attractions.
