Job Summary:
  • The Travel EMS Dispatcher plays a crucial role in providing efficient and effective emergency medical dispatch services to a private EMS company, with a primary focus on interfacility transfers.
  • The ideal candidate MUST possess EMD and BLS certifications, along with 2 to 3 years of experience in medical dispatch.
  • The dispatcher will work on a rotational schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off, working 12-hour shifts.
  • Lodging will be provided during the on-duty week, and compensation will include a travel stipend.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly and accurately to emergency medical service requests, prioritizing and dispatching appropriate medical units as necessary.
  • Coordinate and communicate with EMS personnel, medical facilities, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless patient transfers.
  • Utilize dispatch software and communication equipment effectively to manage incoming requests and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform administrative duties related to dispatch operations, such as documentation, reporting, and data entry.

Qualifications:
  • Required: 2 to 3 years of prior experience in MEDICAL DISPATCH.
  • EMD certification is required.
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in using dispatch software, communication tools, and computer systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of the State of Texas is necessary.

Compensation:
  • $2,500 per 7 days worked, inclusive of the travel stipend.
  • Bi-weekly pay schedule.
  • Lodging is provided during the on-duty week.
