The purpose of this position is to leverage the expertise of an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who recently retired and is enthusiastic about supporting the nursing care team by reducing administrative tasks to improve patient care delivery.
Responsibilities:- Offers coaching, teaching, and educational resources as needed.
- Evaluates and plans patient discharge with the healthcare team.
- Assesses patient admission planning with the healthcare team.
- Determines educational needs considering cultural aspects.
- Implements and oversees patient care plans.
- Monitors and communicates patient conditions effectively.
- Evaluates and adjusts care plans to achieve outcomes.
- Administers medications and treatments following protocols.
- Executes physician and nursing orders.
- Ensures patient and family understanding of teaching materials.
- Engages in continuous professional growth and development.
- Performs other assigned duties.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Valid state RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in Critical Care areas.
- Other specialized certifications may be necessary based on the unit.
- Requires critical thinking and judgment.
- Proficiency in office software and electronic health records.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable with remote work platforms.
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Skilled in virtual professional interactions.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an RN at The Cleveland Clinic.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- May involve lifting and coordination activities.
- Good vision and hearing capabilities.
- Possible exposure to health risks.
- Medium Work physical demands.
- Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
