Job Opportunity: Assistant Director of Nursing Services (RN)

Are you ready to play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care in a dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing Services.

Key Responsibilities:

Assists the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) to plan, organize, develop and direct daily operations of the Nursing Services Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards as directed by the DNS or Administrator.Act as a representative of the DNS at meetings and on committees as required.Ensures highest quality of care is given at all times in a safe, secure facility.With guidance of DNS, the Assistant Director of Nursing Services plans special studies and evaluations of specific nursing functions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services and facility staff, fostering inter-departmental communication for efficient issue resolution.Participate actively in quality assurance processes, DPH surveys, and inspections. Take corrective actions to address deficiencies, ensuring continuous improvement.Assume overall responsibility for the DNS position in their absence, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills.Act as a Nursing Supervisor when required, contributing to the supervision and performance evaluation of nursing department staff.Ensure accurate completion of A&I reports and investigations in accordance with policies, tracking incident trends and implementing interventions for accident prevention.
