Why we're hiring


Alloy is scaling rapidly and we're looking for a highly motivated Billing and Revenue Specialist to join our growing finance team.

You will play a critical role in supporting the accounting team in daily operations, the month-end close process, and the year-end audit.

You will also help develop and implement key processes and systems to scale the billing and revenue operations to support the fast-growing business.

We're looking for a team player, resourceful problem solver, analytical thinker, and someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the full-cycle Accounts Receivable process, from monthly billings, reviewing and issuing customer invoices, and following up on collections from customers
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and account reconciliations, confirming the validity of information across different systems and sources
  • Regular interaction with internal business partners and customers
  • Develop robust documentation of internal controls and processes, ensuring it meets the requirements of external auditors
  • Continually improve business processes through thoughtful analysis and researching best practices in the industry
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of key financial software solutions, such as a new revenue solution
  • Assist with external audit requests and other ad hoc projects
Who We're Looking For

  • BA or BS degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • At least 2-3 years of accounting experience, specifically in billings, including experience in the software / technology industry
  • Knowledge of US GAAP required, including the fundamentals of revenue accounting
  • Experience with Salesforce and Quickbooks Online preferred (Netsuite and Ordway, a plus)
  • Must have acute attention to detail
  • Must possess strong accountability and self-initiative
  • Intermediate Excel skills. Must be comfortable with pivot tables, v-lookups, sumifs.
  • Experience at a startup or high-growth company is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively with internal business partners at various levels
  • Hunger to learn and grow - new things aren't scary for you, they're exciting
The following range is based on the scoped level within the organization and only for highly targeted NYC geography: $75-85K
