JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Implement 21st Century Skills in the curriculum to enhance student learning.

  • Ability to adapt instruction for diverse student needs.
  • Enthusiastic participation in the school community and student support programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Kansas teaching certificate in the relevant instructional area.
  • Preference for an English as a Second Language endorsement or willingness to obtain one.

COMMUNICATION:

Enhance cooperative action by maintaining communication with school staff, parents, and guardians. Provide health services and information effectively to support the school community's wellness.

ORGANIZATION:

Maintain accurate documentation of school visits and health office activities. Utilize technology efficiently in daily tasks and perform related duties as needed.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions effectively in various formats.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Read and interpret professional journals, write reports, and present information clearly to diverse audiences.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to move around the classroom, lift up to 50 pounds, and have adequate vision abilities for teaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Operate in a standard work environment with responsibilities for student safety and well-being.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 186 days

SALARY: Based on KCKPS Salary Schedule

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

REPORT TO: Principal

Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated following KCKPS Board of Education policy.
