Operations Support Specialist

Exciting opportunity for a Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Washington, PA. This role is a part of our operations team and supports the Aon Healthcare underwriting team.


In this support role you will interact with internal associates and underwriters as well as our clients by phone and email.

This position requires a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail.


Following an initial in office training period, this will be a hybrid role out of our Fort Washington, PA office with the opportunity to work in office and remote.

What the day will look like

  • Support the underwriters throughout the new and renewal processes
  • Interact with clients to assist with maintenance of past due billing and Premium Financing terms and ensure all accounts are paid
  • Respond to internal client inquiries
  • Prepare various correspondence and forms for mailing
  • Create financial transactions (automated and manual) to debit / credit policy accounts
  • Complete assigned fulfillment duties and print functions for professional liability policies
  • Handle the electronic archival of documents including applications and supporting materials
  • Maintain department service level agreements and productivity goals
  • Work with and collaborate with various internal teams to accomplish daily tasks including underwriting, accounting, compliance, and service teams within Aon Affinity Insurance Services
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • 2-3 years general office experience
  • Entry level insurance industry experience preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize work
  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to apply basic math skills for billing and debiting policies
Education

  • High School, some college or relevant work experience preferred

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $35,000 to 45,000 annually.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
