About the role

BIOS Technologies is looking for a dedicated Information Security Specialist to contribute to providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining professional interactions with clients and colleagues. The Information Security Specialist will play a crucial role in securing IT environments, offering technical expertise and guidance in developing, supporting, and monitoring cybersecurity initiatives. Responsibilities include being proactive in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, managing security tools, and staying updated on the latest security trends. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, collaborative, and solution-driven.

  • Contribute to BIOS' vision and direction
  • Deliver technical solutions effectively
  • Maintain industry knowledge through continuous learning
  • Monitor networks for security breaches
  • Research IT security trends
  • Test and maintain firewalls
  • Maintain security software
  • Implement security training
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation
  • Manage backup and DR
  • Recommend enhancements for security weaknesses

About you

  • Minimum of 3 years of Information Security experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and curious nature
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude and team player

Bonus qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Kaseya, Zero Trust Software, and SIEM Tools
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, or GSEC
  • Experience in a rapidly growing tech environment
  • Track record of delivering innovative solutions
