Department: Shipping

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Reports To: Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary: Load assigned orders onto trailers utilizing a forklift.

Hours Required: 40+ overtime as needed.

Major Responsibilities

Load assigned orders onto trailers utilizing stand-up forklift.

Ensure orders are loaded safely and accurately.

Daily Tasks

Complete forklift preventative maintenance checklist.

Operate a stand-up forklift safely, following all safety rules and regulations, for the entire shift.

Receive orders to load from the Shipping Supervisor, locate the order in the staging lanes and load the entire order accurately.

Perform other duties such as labeling, housekeeping, and maintaining skid trailers as assigned.

Communicate any issues with the order to the Shipping Supervisor.

Skills Required

Time Management: ensure day to day activities are accomplished in allotted amount of time.

Communication: professionally interact with team members and supervisors.

Physical Demands

This is a Safety Sensitive position

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time.

Ability to walk, bend, twist and lift above the head, as needed.

Location Youngstown, Ohio Minimum Experience Entry-level Compensation $15.00 per hour
