The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient management of tubular products within the warehouse and production environment. This role involves various tasks including the verification of inbound and outbound loads, assisting in the loading and unloading processes, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately tally and verify pipe lengths for outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries.
- Support forklift operators in the handling of tubular products from production lines, storage areas, and transportation vehicles.
- Engage in the construction and maintenance of pipe storage racks.
- Learn to operate industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices safely.
- Conduct shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all items are processed correctly.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper racking and storage of tubular products in compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in both the pipe yard and warehouse.
- Complete necessary documentation for product movements and inventory management.
- Participate in daily equipment checks and maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Proficient in gathering and analyzing information.
- Capable of developing alternative solutions to challenges.
- Experience working collaboratively in team settings.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and pull up to 75 lbs.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Previous experience in an oilfield tubular yard or warehouse setting.
- Preferred: Experience operating heavy forklifts.
- Preferred: Familiarity with API storage and handling standards.
Critical Skills: Safety awareness, teamwork, adaptability, accountability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
