The Role: As a Sales Coordinator specializing in Drayage, you will hold a pivotal position as the cornerstone of our customers' import and export supply chains. Operating mainly in the United States and Canada, our Drayage sales team focuses on streamlining the movement of shipping containers to and from ports and rail ramps. Your tasks will include collaborating with our network of drayage carriers nationwide to develop innovative strategies for container transport efficiency. Additionally, you will use Steam's state-of-the-art technology tools to ensure full supply chain visibility at terminals and rail locations. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the complete sales process for loads, including acquiring business, managing customer onboarding, negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and updating financial records - Regularly create lists of sales leads using various platforms such as Panjiva, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce - Identify and reach out to potential clients through cold calls and email campaigns - Develop pricing structures for Drayage routes (e.g., Savannah to Atlanta) and coordinate trucking capacity through carrier partnerships - Arrange container pick-ups and deliveries, create shipments in our Transportation Management System (TMS), and schedule appointments - Manage financial aspects of your client base and collaborate with all departments within Steam.
