Our Front Desk Staff members perform a variety of duties that are clerical in nature. Under general supervision, they exercise some discretion and make routine decisions based on existing guidelines. They frequently interact with Providers, Nurses, and Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities:

Patient Support:

Provides initial customer service to all patients including; but not limited to, greeting patients, scheduling and confirming patient appointments using a multi-line phone, performing data entry into the NextGen software system for patient information, and creating patient filesProvides conflict resolution and responds to patient grievancesCreates and maintains confidential patient files and records; files accordinglyFloat to other LSCC facilities as needed and requiredAll other duties as assignedPayment/Insurance ProcessingFacilitates patient check-in and check-out.

Explain payment options, including sliding scale fees, Medicare, Medicaid and other forms of payment assistanceCollects and posts patient payments; prepare deposits and follow established cash handling proceduresCompletes patient intakes, income screenings, and conducts insurance verifications and authorizationsQualifications:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION,

AND LICENSE:
High school diploma or GEDMinimum of six (6) months of experience working in a professional administrative or related capacityPREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION,

AND LICENSE:
Prior medical office and/or healthcare setting experiencePrior customer support experienceProficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
