We are looking for a dedicated security officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, residents, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for the overall security of the facility including patrolling the premises, setting up security controls, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior, and enforcing company policies. You will be responsible for assisting during emergency's and may be the liaison for Milwaukee Police and Fire departments. To be successful as a security officer you should be highly observant and able to objectively assess the severity of a situation. An outstanding security officer should be able to remain calm and decisive in any situation.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 11:00 pm - 7:15 am

**Essential Job Duties:**
Conducts security rounds throughout the interior of the building and exterior grounds regularly
Available and responsive to emergencies and regular phone calls to the front desk
Available to lock down and reopen the facility at the start and end of their shift
Monitors the fire alarm panels and emergency response systems
Conducts routine trash removal as a part of the security rounding process
Ensures the confidentiality of resident/client or staff records is maintained.
Complete all security reports to ensure incidents are logged and communicated appropriately and that security rounds are being performed by all officers as required.
Assist in conducting investigations when required and provides proper information to needed agencies.
**Qualifications**
High school graduate or equivalent.
Prefer completion of police science or security-related training (or equivalent).
Must have excellent communication skills which includes written, verbal and nonverbal.
Ability to remain calm and provide leadership during stressful situations.
Computer knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel and Kronos systems.
Works flexible shifts including weekends.
First Aide Safety training preferred.
**Physical Requirements/Working Conditions**
Ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull objects using up to 50 pounds of force.
Ability to perform moderate to difficult manipulative tasks.
Ability to walk on wet/slippery surfaces.
Ability to walk up and down stairs/ladders.
Visual acuity to provide support during emergency/life-threatening situations.
Ability to concentrate on fine details with constant interruptions.
Ability to understand and relate to the reasons behind several related concepts.
Ability to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.
Utilize Verbal Non-Escalation Tactics.
Must comply with proper PPE protocol and infection control policy and procedures.
