YOUR IMPACT:

As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will deliver security services with integrity, professionalism, and empathy, even in challenging situations. Your role will instill confidence in patients, visitors, and colleagues through a professional and approachable demeanor. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular patrols to ensure safety and security, identifying vulnerabilities, and managing patient valuables.
  • Responding to incidents of workplace violence and serving as a primary resource for de-escalation.
  • Planning and executing emergency response protocols for various scenarios, including fire and active threats.
  • Documenting incidents accurately and collaborating with law enforcement as necessary.
  • Providing security awareness training to team members to enhance overall site security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensure and Certification:

  • Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) Card or Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) license.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Certification in Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser) use within 90 days of hire.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year in security, public safety, or customer service, with experience in emergency response.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage for documentation and reporting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and potential hazards; protective clothing may be required.
