Our customer in Ft. Payne, Alabama is searching for a recent graduate in electrical engineering or materials engineering to assist the manufacturing engineering team and factory staff in applying electrical insulation to components used in high-voltage generators sold to electricity providers. This role involves hands-on collaboration with the manufacturing and materials engineering teams to offer assistance to production staff. The position directly reports to the senior manager of materials engineering. With the increasing demand for electrical power in the next decade, there is a need for support to address the growing challenges in enhancing manufacturing processes, product quality, and design implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical support for manufacturing processes and material testing activities.
  • Implement engineering requirements effectively.
  • Conduct engineering analysis on test data related to material quality.
  • Engage with customers using our electrical insulation systems.
  • Act as a technical resource for the development team.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Demonstrated engineering expertise with a focus on materials for electrical insulation systems.
  • Interest in gaining knowledge in High Voltage Insulation Engineering in a manufacturing setting.
  • Lead and inspire process enhancements within the team.
  • Capable of working autonomously and being proactive.
  • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Materials Engineering.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience in an industrial setting.
  • Openness to travel (around 20% of the time).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret lab test results effectively.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization.
