NCOA is looking for passionate, dedicated, and creative individuals to expand our team. The Senior Manager of Individual Giving will play a vital role in NCOA's growth.



POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Individual Giving collaborates with the Senior Director of Philanthropy to enhance NCOA's individual giving program. The focus is on advancing NCOA's mission and increasing unrestricted revenue from new and existing donors through various fundraising channels.

This position involves working with a small frontline fundraising team and coordinating with Advancement Department colleagues to create, manage, and execute annual giving strategies through different campaigns and efforts.

The role requires developing and executing donor stewardship initiatives, implementing a sustained giving program, and incorporating best practices in fundraising work for improved results.

This position involves extensive collaboration, managing projects across teams in a fast-paced setting, necessitating strong project management skills, effective presentation and interpersonal abilities, and the flexibility to switch between strategic planning and tactical execution.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set the tone and direction of individual giving campaigns in collaboration with the Senior Director of Philanthropy
  • Develop and manage donor-informed sustained giving programs
  • Expand and operationalize donor stewardship initiatives
  • Create and implement individual giving campaigns across multiple channels
  • Improve key performance metrics and donor engagement through various channels
  • Create donor profiles to drive segmentation and acquisition strategies
  • Collaborate with teams to develop effective digital marketing strategies
  • Define message testing strategies for better donor communication
  • Develop messaging and content for individual giving campaigns

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in individual giving
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships across all levels
  • Strong writing, message development, and project management skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Interest in major gift engagement preferred
  • Familiarity with tax laws impacting charitable giving
  • Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, Blackbaud, and other business software
  • Experience in a national non-profit environment preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift, climb stairs, and lift light weights (< 25 pounds).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment has a moderate noise level.
