The Emergency Services Coordinator (ESC) role within the Emergency Functions Planning Unit (EFPU) concentrates on statewide emergency management planning focusing on administrative coordination, managing Administrative Orders, the California State Emergency Plan (SEP), California Emergency Support Functions (CA-ESFs), and associated workgroups and committees. The incumbent will work closely with internal directorates at the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), state agencies, local and tribal governments, and other external stakeholders to carry out the duties of this position. The State Administrative Coordination Planner plays a critical role in the state's emergency management system and the Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS). Besides aiding numerous emergency plans and planning guidance initiatives within Cal OES, this role will engage in diverse training sessions and exercises, assisting other state agencies, non-governmental organizations, local and tribal governments, and other relevant stakeholders in readiness, response, recovery, and mitigation of the consequences of disasters and emergencies.

Working Conditions

Telework
This position allows a hybrid work schedule with up to two days of remote work weekly. Additional in-office days might be required based on business needs.

DMV Pull Program
Participation in the DMV Pull Program is mandatory. A valid Driver's License (DL) is needed for this position. Ensure to address your DL details in the application, including DL number, class, expiration date, endorsements, and restrictions.

Conflict of Interest
This position falls under the Conflict of Interest Code and necessitates completion of Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Non-compliance with the Conflict of Interest Code regulations could jeopardize the appointment.
