POSITION TITLE:
Research Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:


Will be trained by senior lab members to assist and perform experiments to understand how the brain drives social behavior in the mouse.

Will be trained to assist in data analysis. Will assist in presenting data to others. Project can be tailored to be either repetitive or non-repetitive.

Will be trained to perform a variety of routine scientific tasks such as histology, immunostaining, ELIZA, hormone analysis, mouse behavior assays, in vivo neural imaging, PCR, fiber photometry.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Faithfully follow established protocols.
Trouble-shoot as necessary.
Data acquisition, analysis, and presentation.
Communication findings to other team members.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline and up to one (1) year of related experience.
Three (3) to six (6) years of related laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

COMPENSATION:
The expected hiring range for this position is $18.67 to $24 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
