Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Research Technician to join our team of biologists, chemists, and bioengineers. The successful candidate will work closely with others on interdisciplinary research projects focusing on RNA-targeting therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research under the guidance of Group Leaders and others to develop therapeutic products and platforms.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to achieve research project milestones and goals.
- Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results and when analyzing or interpreting data.
- Think critically about the project, the procedure, and milestones, and provide technical input professionally.
- Uphold our organization's mission and values, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
- Maintain a comprehensive electronic lab notebook documenting experiments, datasets, analysis, and conclusions.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or related discipline) with at least 2 years of relevant experience OR a master's degree in life science.
- A demonstrated record of achievement through coursework, publications, and presentations.
- Desired candidates should be familiar with bacterial and mammalian cell culture, PCR, recombinant DNA cloning, electrophoresis, chromatography, mass spectrometry, and other relevant laboratory techniques.
- Knowledge of various standard laboratory procedures and techniques, laboratory equipment and terminology, and laboratory hazards and safety practices.
- Ability to manage efforts on multiple projects with different objectives.
- Flexibility to adjust research efforts to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office
