Chief of Staff (COS) Position at Michael E. DeBakey VAMC, Houston, TX

The Michael E. DeBakey VAMC (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible physician to join them as the Chief of Staff (COS). This role is a key part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Medical Center Director.

The Ideal Candidate: The preferred candidate will have substantial experience as a physician executive leader in a complexity 1a VA Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief of Staff will oversee the management of clinical operations across the Medical Center and its various clinics and service lines. This includes direct supervision of multiple Care and Service Lines and key positions within the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a degree of Doctor of Medicine and be board certified. Preference is given to those with experience managing and supervising physicians.
