The Regional Communications Manager plays a key role in overseeing communication strategies for a specific region, ensuring alignment with Mercy Housing's overall goals and enhancing philanthropic initiatives. By promoting the organization's mission and expanding its visibility through media and community engagement, the manager contributes to generating broader awareness and donor support. Collaboration with the national marketing & communications team guarantees coherent messaging across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a communications strategy in collaboration with regional leadership to elevate program visibility.
  • Create various written materials in coordination with the national team, including newsletters, website content, social media posts, video scripts, brochures, and press releases.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels.
  • Curate targeted donor messaging materials showcasing community impact.
  • Act as the primary brand representative for the region to increase awareness.
  • Cultivate media relationships to secure quality placements for key programs and messages.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years in communications, marketing, or public relations roles with a focus on program execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of affordable housing and nonprofit sectors along with experience in developing communication tools for philanthropic initiatives.
  • Previous involvement in a large organizational setting, preferably at a statewide level.
