Summary

This is an entry-level training position for a supervisory role. Provides leadership to employees in a single function or work group, ensuring work is performed within professional standards and practices. Responsible for developing schedules, enforcing policies, and procedures. Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines. Provides input for performance reviews and compensation. Interacts with subordinates, peer groups, and external contacts.

Detailed Description
  • Receives daily production schedule from planning and material from logistics.
  • Coordinates resources to achieve on-time production of quality products within budget.
  • Identifies and resolves bottlenecks in the production process.
  • Manages operating expenditure and guides teams to improve processes.
  • Conducts return to work interviews and disciplinary hearings.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Knowledge of the production process, tools, and equipment.
  • Understanding of business impact on customer satisfaction, product quality, and profitability.
  • Ability to coordinate resources to meet production metrics.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and Continuous Improvement.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in PC applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Powerpoint.
Physical Demands
  • Duties performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various elements.
  • Requires visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
  • Adheres to Health and Safety guidelines.
