Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Assembler II to join our team at Legrand North America. As an Electrical Assembler II, you will be responsible for conducting pre and post assemble functions, including product testing, repairing electrical/electronic equipment, and reading specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Testing and Repair

Adjust, repair or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

Assembly and Installation

Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures, and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, using electronic materials, soldering, and electrical equipment.

Quality Control

Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors for operation and record results.

Root Cause Analysis

Evaluate and diagnose the root cause of product testing failures.

Maintenance and Repair

Repair and maintain electrical test equipment, recommending replacements when necessary.

BOM Management

Navigate BOM management systems to ensure assembly processes and procedures are updated.

Requirements
  • Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

1 – 2 years material handling experience

Skills
  • Must be able to follow written instructions/procedures to test and assemble manufacturing products, including troubleshooting testing issues.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus, extract necessary information, and validate understanding of the information.
  • Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Must have basic familiarity with computers and computer use. Proficiency in computer skills a plus.
  • Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, socket wrenches, hammers, pliers, wire cutters, tape measure, and other job-related tools.
  • Required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to gain certification, operate, and maintain Forklift certification throughout employment time.
