As a Healthcare Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Manager with the operations of our organization and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Inputting invoices in QuickBooks
  • Help maintain financial records, update financial spreadsheets, and upload data into accounting software.
  • Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with the Finance Manager.
  • Track and update bank transactions into accounting software.
  • Input data and log financial transactions into accounting software.
  • Occasionally assist with the Operations department in inputting patient data entry.
  • Perform day-to-day financial tasks as needed by the Finance Manager.
  • Ensuring appropriate turnaround time for all data entries.
  • Reviewing and entering data information into the appropriate databases.
  • Proactively verifying data through source documents.
  • Monitoring and updating existing data when required.
  • Retrieving data for team members upon request.
  • Performing data searches.
  • Complying with security backups and regular checkups to ensure the data's safety.
  • Resolve accounting errors on a timely basis with documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and insurances to resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Assist with processing healthcare financial transactions, such as billing and claims reimbursement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration-related
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for this role to ensure accurate and error-free data entry.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic knowledge of data entry software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA .

This position will directly report to the CEO, Director of Operations, and/or the Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a background in finance and accounting, with a specific focus on healthcare financial management. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the success of a healthcare organization while further enhancing their financial skills.
