HIROTEC Group specializes in delivering body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure manufacturing, and tooling and stamping dies to automotive customers globally. With a US base in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates in 33 facilities across eight countries.
We're in search of a Production Control Supervisor to join the HIROTEC team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess job orders, product specifications, and operations sheets to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and workflow.
- Determine equipment, materials, and staff requirements to meet production schedules.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production schedules and ensure on-time delivery, exceeding customer expectations.
- Monitor and communicate customer shipment status to ensure timely deliveries.
- Assign duties, review work for accuracy, and standardize procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any issues affecting production.
- Prepare reports, identify and address equipment malfunctions, shortages, and errors.
- Lead initiatives in 5S, Quality, Safety, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing practices.
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of leadership experience in an automotive/manufacturing setting or equivalent. Strong communication, negotiation, and computer skills are essential. Additionally, interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills are critical. A solid technical understanding of stamping, automation, and manufacturing applications is required. SAP proficiency is advantageous. Flexibility to travel and work on weekends/holidays is a plus.
