The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and problem solving of technical issues. This individual also executes sample preparation to support and enable customer engagements.

Projects will focus on new product development, project management, as well as working with customers to co-develop new products and provide technical support.

The incumbent manages multiple projects simultaneously, on time, well documented and within budget to meet business and customer objectives. Continuously and reliably carries projects through to completion with little assistance from supervisor.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

set up and running of equipment for tests, designing and carrying out experiments, and formally reporting/documenting results of tests and measures.

Phases of development include pilot, scale-up, and implementation of R&D processes into manufacturing.

Essential Functions:
Leads new product development projects.

Designs, coordinates, and carries out hands-on lab and manufacturing experiments pertinent to the development of new products, including CMP polishing, cleaning, and metrology analysis, coordinate analytical analysis with internal and outside labs.

Independently conducts formulation optimization.
Responsible to ensure the use of scientifically sound research methods.

In conjunction with the Technical Manager, ensures the all projects are quantifiably targeted towards business and customer requirements (performance, cost, production efficiency, etc.).

Ensures that the risk and attractiveness of all projects are quantified.
Safety-oriented mindset emphasizing a safety first approach for day to day work. Follows all safety requirements (training, PPE, safe procedure, etc.). Develops and maintains 5S standards for the laboratory. Operates all equipment in accordance with safety requirements and maintains equipment in safe working condition.

Work with cross function teams on various product development projects, responsible for overall project timeline, tracking/monitoring action items and their progress on a regular basis, gathering team for brainstorming, proposing solutions, summarizing and updating status, etc.

This includes new product development, raw materials qualification, and technical support for plant and external customers. Develops a working relationship with operators, engineers, sourcing, and commercial teams.

Serve as a key individual contributor for new invention disclosures, and support patent applicationsEvaluates feasibility of producing new products on production scale and responsible for new product introduction to ensure seamless scale up of new products from R&D team to production teamRequired QualificationsPh.

in organic, inorganic, polymer chemistry, material science, or chemical engineering with 0-5 years industrial experience, or MS with 8-15 years of experience demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments is required.


10 years of experience in Wet chemistry:

Hands on experience with mixing and blending chemicals; familiar with solvents, surfactants, dispersants, and nano particle applications is preferred.


5 years of experience in Specialty chemicals:
Hands on experience with developing formulations are preferred.

5 years of experience in CMP slurries or semiconductor chemicals:
Experience in formulating CMP slurries or chemicals for semiconductor manufacturing processes is preferred.

5 years of experience in Industrial project management:

Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated understanding of nanoparticles, surface chemistry, organic chemistry, wet chemistry (organic, inorganic, polymer chemistry, colloidal chemistry).
