YOUR DAY TO DAY:

To perform inspection of electronic, electro-mechanical or mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies parts, and components for conformance to specifications, assembly practices, and established standards with general supervision.

Machine and Equipment Used:
Micrometers, gauge blocks, test indicators, sine bars, etc.
Specialized gauges: durometers, profilometers, leak checkers, optical flats, interferometers, collimators, and microscopes, coordinate machine, bench CTRS, etc. Required usage equipment is determined by the specific area of operation. Continuity checkers, Hi pot tester, digital electronic meters, micrometers, calipers, scales, dial indicators, various gauges, microscope, optical comparator, polariscope, and other standard inspection instruments. YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Inspects parts and materials to determine compliance to specified requirements
  • Performs product inspection
  • Performs real time defect evaluation
  • Prepares QA documentation
  • Verifies corrective action implementation
  • Verifies implementation of rework
  • Generates and/or verifies traceability information
  • Interfaces with coworkers and internal customers
  • Performs inspection and quality assurance and control duties related to the manufacture of antenna components, sub assemblies, as well as calibration processes and procedures
  • Perform calibration of various tools to include gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Schedule tools and test equipment for both on and off-site calibration.
  • Coordinate and support service agreements for electrical/electronic and RF test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Assist management in determining appropriate metrology support suppliers.
  • Maintain calibration databases.
  • Under minimum supervision, performs tasks of substantial variety, which require knowledge of inspection techniques, materials, gauges, tools, and equipment, including electronic and mechanical measuring instruments.
  • Work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals or prototypes to assure conformance of jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Work under the general supervision of your manager.
  • Effective performance of assigned tasks to ensure that inspection, test, and measurement equipment meet all applicable requirements.
  • Excellent working relationship with other employees.
  • A positive image of the Company projected to personnel, both inside and outside contacts.

  • Basic use of precision dimensional inspection and layout tools and gages.

  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science, and Mechanical engineering is preferred
  • Familiar with the use of standard inspection equipment; requires skill in mechanical inspection techniques and practices normally acquired after five (5) years related experience.
  • May require ability to use basic algebra.
