Ammunition Machine Operator

  • Operate and maintain various ammunition production machines such as sorting, processing, priming, loading, packaging, inspection, and other related equipment
  • Identify and resolve basic machine operation issues and fault conditions
  • Conduct quality control checks using standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, or pin gages
  • Follow daily production schedules to ensure targets and deadlines are being met
  • Keep accurate records of machinery throughput, faults, and maintenance tasks using standard templates
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Assist with the warehousing and organization of products for the production line

Skills:

  • Ammunition processing or loading experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements
  • Basic math skills for calculations and measurements
  • Familiarity with Scharch, Camdex, Ammoload, and Alpha machinery
  • Forklift certification a plus

Job Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED
  • 13 years operating machinery in a production environment
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operation
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple related machines concurrently
  • Able to work independently, stand for a shift, and lift 50lbs without assistance
