Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our production processes to ensure efficiency and quality in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective inventory management system to prevent production delays.
  • Design a streamlined material flow system to facilitate the movement of materials, components, and kits throughout the production line.
  • Oversee the master production schedule and issue work orders to meet project timelines.
  • Analyze component drawings to determine the most efficient manufacturing techniques prior to production.
  • Estimate and monitor machine utilization to enhance scheduling accuracy.
  • Evaluate the capabilities of our machinery and collaborate with design engineers to enhance production speed, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
  • Conduct capacity assessments across various production areas and propose strategies for increasing output.
  • Identify and resolve integration challenges, implementing process enhancements to boost production rates.
  • Examine the supply chain and provide insights for strategic in-sourcing opportunities.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or aerospace sectors.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in machine shop operations, including CNC and multi-axis machining.
  • Experience in supporting production machine shops.
  • Knowledge of designing hydraulic and pneumatic fixtures for automated production processes.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • CAD experience, particularly with NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience in capacity modeling, process mapping, and fault analysis.
  • Skills in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Additional Information

This position may require flexibility in working hours, including weekends. Occasional travel to job sites may be necessary for commissioning and troubleshooting new designs.
