The company is looking for an IT-Help Desk Tier2/3 position, which is mainly focused on providing 80% phone support and 20% deskside assistance. This role requires strong customer service skills along with a solid hardware/software support background.
Job Duties:
- Participates in all aspects of Technical Systems support
- Resolves support issues across all tiers
- Expedites critical tickets by monitoring support queues
- Advises promptly on any outages or service problems
- Builds and maintains client workstation images
- Manages end-user hardware & software inventory
- Initiates procurement requests for daily support items
- Creates and maintains Active Directory user account templates
- Leads technical systems projects and implementations
- Provides professional Tech Support calls handling
- Configures PCs and laptops at multiple site locations
- Supports various topics like system hardware, mobile communications, networking, and applications
- Designs documentation and procedures for technical support processes
- Follows up on unresolved calls and keeps users informed
- Consults with other IT team members when needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma/equivalent required
- Preferred Associates' degree in computer science
- Minimum 4 years supporting technology users in Windows/Active Directory and VPN
- Minimum 2 years managing an asset database
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Keyboarding skills of at least 50 WPM
- Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving
- Ability to travel to user sites for issue resolution and training
- Moderate availability with on-call responsibilities
