The Scheduling Coordinator will provide support to the Memorial City Mall Security Department by ensuring efficient allocation of Security Ambassadors and Security Control Center (SCC) dispatchers to various shifts and locations within the MetroNational property and asset portfolio to include the Memorial City Mall. The Scheduling Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Training & Compliance and will be responsible for maintaining accurate shift schedules, optimizing staffing levels, and facilitating effective communication among team members to ensure seamless and reliable security operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Security Managers to ensure complete and accurate scheduling for all Security Ambassadors assigned.
  • Develop, maintain, modify, and manage operational schedules, to include requests for additional coverage to ensure adequate security coverage at all times.
  • Provides information to and assists Security team members in accurate completion of forms (i.e., leave, PTO requests, etc.), shift availability, and last-minute call-offs.
  • Strategically plan schedules to ensure effective use of resources while minimizing unnecessary overtime and keeping levels at or under directed organizational goals.
  • Ensures new hires are provided with training schedule and work schedule on day of initial orientation.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with MetroNational Security leadership with development of short and long-range goals for enhanced staffing planning consistent with operational demands and requirements.
  • Maintains current knowledge of site requirements, security officer training, availability and time worked.
  • Track in-shift/off-shift training hours to include security team members, teaching/training faculty, guest speakers, vendors, etc.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting to the Director of Training & Compliance any irregularities in schedules/hours, etc.
  • Develops tracking protocols and generate monthly/quarterly/annual reports for data analysis on trends and practices for timekeeping, call-offs, no-call/no-show, absences, hours worked, etc.
  • Generate and distribute weekly staffing schedules and invoices for Security and Property Management.
  • Ensure all fair and equal scheduling practices adheres to all MetroNational policies regarding work hours, overtime, breaks, etc.
  • Participate and attend in periodic in-service training and situational briefings.
  • Other duties as assigned, performed in an effective, timely and professional manner.
Requirements:

Education and Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but an Associate's degree in security administration, management, or in an industry-related field is required.
  • 2-4 years of working knowledge in security operations, administration, multi-location asset protection, site management, and other related industrial areas.
  • Advanced proficiency in shift scheduling software.
  • Proven experience and track record in technical problem solving, timely decision making with schedule demands, changes, etc.

  • Proven administrative, management and leadership abilities to include reliability in maintaining confidentiality of work practices, information, etc.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments to achieve desired outcomes within established time schedules, to work well with others and to function calmly, and effectively during times of emergency are required.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures or government regulations.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively along in a professional manner.
  • Strong, effective writing, verbal, and digital/electronic communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated, team-player, and results driven – assumes personal responsibility for achieving goals.
  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Effective organization, problem solving and presentation skills.
