Purpose of Job:


Under general supervision, responsible for category management of top OES customer(s) including strategy recommendations, actionable insights, annual category line review, and analytics.

Through a broad understanding of the battery category and automotive aftermarket provide category management practices to top OES customer(s)
Recommend strategies and tactics that can be implemented to drive sales and marketplace leadership with account(s)
Drive "ah-ha" moments in quarterly business reviews and category planning meetings
Collaborate cross functionally to increase awareness of dynamics in the marketplace and corporate strategies to enable
Partner with Account Manager leadership teams to deliver category management capabilities to OES customer(s)
Annually present a line review to each customer(s) including information on product and assortment recommendations, market and industry performance and customized recommendations to drive sales and profitability
Leverage knowledge of the industry, market and consumers to provide unbiased recommendations to internal account team and externally with customer(s)
Problem solving and creative thinking ability to tie multiple data sources together create actionable insights
Recommend changes to product placement, store distribution, shelf stocking minimums, account demand forecast, etc.
Analyze and interpret sales performance, 3rd party research and data
Provide weekly reports on customer performance and ad hoc analytics as necessary

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field is required for the position
Minimum of 3 – 5 years as a Category/Product Manager
Category Management Association certification
Experience delivering insights that lead to incremental revenue and share growth
Effective communicator (oral and written) with customer and top management
Strong strategic and analytical thinker
Prior experience with Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link, etc.
Proven ability to work with and interpret multiple data sources turning it into actionable insights
Proven track record of collaborating and working with a cross-functional team
Strong problem solver with the ability to think outside the box
Able to work independently with proper levels of prioritization and follow through
