As experts in clean feed technology in our core market, we continuously strive to deliver the highest level of technical support to both our internal and external customers.
We are currently seeking a Technical Director (North America) to support our global technical sales team to drive this agenda.
Position Overview:
To enhance the value proposition by providing excellence in technical expertise and education.
To assist the key growth markets to achieve budgeted sales volume, margin & contribution through the delivery of technical services to Anitox customers and mentoring of the Anitox commercial team in technical matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop/maintain key customer relationships (veterinarian/nutritionists) and lead strategic initiatives with key industry influencers/organizations, key opinion leaders, research institutions, and national and regional industry associationsProvide technical support to sales in virtual and face to face customer meetingsDeliver technical presentations at targeted industry/key prospect/customer meetingsDevelop technical information (bulletins, papers, etc.) to advance our value proposition within the industryMaintain and produce technical pieces for product supportIdentify and develop/lead plans to fill value gaps via new 3rd party research, complimentary products, internal research, and/or technical papersActively participate in industry/professional associationsCoordinate with Marketing on Campaign/Document messagingFully utilize Salesforce CRM tool to update Technical dashboard and document customer/prospect/key influencer interactionsDetermine and facilitate necessary training across the sales teamWriting of technical reportsWriting of protocols for field trialsAnalysis & organization of data from trials Essential Qualifications/Experience:5+ years of experience in the animal agriculture/animal health industry.
Practical knowledge of the US (poultry) feed industry, its structure and the key influencersThe ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, and to work in cross-functional teams to achieve customer and product objectives, including R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing.
Well organized and an effective planner in use of resources, while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as market needs dictate.Excellent people and communication skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Fluent in English (writing and speaking)Strong analytical skills in applied researchComputer literate especially in MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications among others.
A self-starter with significant drive.Desired:
PhD (or close to completion) in poultry science or animal production.
Demonstrated success in a technical service role introducing new products and concepts to targeted customer and/or markets in conjunction with sales and marketing.
Additional language skills. Publication of Technical Papers in peer-reviewed journals.Knowledge & understanding of how a modern feed mill operates.
Use of Artificial intelligence tools to gather technical/scientific information.
Hours of Work:
Working hours are standard Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and will be modified to meet the expectations of sales goals (customer hours, after-hours work as required)
Travel:
This position requires national and international travel up to 50%, with frequent nights away from home.
