Adjunct Instructor, Residential Carpentry Specialist

This part-time, non-benefited position is an FLSA Exempt/Professional role in the Engineering Construction Manufacturing and Design Division, reporting to the Program Director - Carpentry and Residential Construction Management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver high-quality instruction for specified courses, utilizing prepared lesson plans and a variety of learning experiences.
- Organize and conduct classes, demonstrating a positive attitude toward students and comprehensive knowledge of the subject areas.
- Evaluate students' progress, communicating results to students and appropriate personnel, and maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports, submitting them in a timely manner.
- Display a high level of effort and commitment, operating effectively within the organizational structure and demonstrating trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
- Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area, and assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or an Associate's degree in the discipline plus at least two years of related work experience is required. Postsecondary teaching experience is preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis position involves working in a stationary environment, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, with occasional movement between worksites. The ability to adjust or move objects up to 15 pounds and operate machinery and/or power tools is required.
