Position Summary:

Trout Unlimited (TU), in partnership with the Nez Perce Tribe, offers an internship program for an undergraduate college student in Idaho. The program aims to provide hands-on experience and insight into the work of a national non-profit conservation organization. The intern will work closely with TU staff, engage in various projects, and attend meetings with partners to explore different career possibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in fisheries conservation, policy, education, and scientific work
  • Conduct research on conservation policies and legislation
  • Assist in creating outreach materials and social media content
  • Conduct fieldwork for restoration projects and monitoring activities
  • Attend meetings, summarize key points, and engage in youth education events
  • Support administrative tasks and provide feedback on the internship program
  • Ensure safety in all work activities and complete assignments on time

Requirements:

We are looking for an undergraduate college student from the Nez Perce Tribe with an interest in conservation, fisheries, or water management. Effective communication, independence, teamwork, time management, and flexibility are essential.
