SESI Schools provides specialized education programming for K-12 students who require additional educational and positive behavioral supports to overcome challenges that impede success in a traditional school setting.

The Transition Assistant will work directly with the Transition Coordinator to provide services to Special Education students.


The Transition Assistant will be responsible for providing academic, emotional, and physical services for students who require additional support to thrive in school.


They will collaborate with special education teachers, social workers, and administrators to help students age 14 and up prepare for the transition from high school to successful post-secondary opportunities.


Qualifications:


The Transition Assistant must be willing and able to work with students on job and life skills, community-based instruction, college and career readiness.


The Transition Assistant must be willing to spend time making connections in the community that will promote school and benefit students' post-secondary success.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • College experience and or the completion of a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience working with middle or high school age students in an education or mentorship capacity
  • The ability to work and build relationships with students and families to help their school and behavioral progress.
  • A willingness to attend trainings and meetings to further your skill set.

Pay:
$ $19.00 per hour
