Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Monks Construction. The Human Resources Manager will play a vital role in managing all aspects of HR functions within the organization, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and fostering a positive work culture. This is a full-time onsite position that reports directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the company.
  • Coordinate the entire recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, training, and integration into the company culture.
2. Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Promote positive employee relations by fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
3. Performance Review Coordination:
  • Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management best practices and techniques.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development and training to enhance individual and team performance.
4. Compensation and Benefits:
  • Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.
  • Conduct salary surveys and market research to inform compensation decisions and maintain salary structures.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, Colorado Secure Savings, and other employee perks.
5. Compliance and Legal:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment law and regulations, advising management on potential impacts and necessary actions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality and security.
6. HR Administration:
  • Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll processing, employee data management, and HRIS maintenance.
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Manage HR budgets and resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
