Job Overview

As a vital member of the Army National Guard, the Human Resources Specialist serves as the primary resource for Soldiers seeking guidance on benefits, policies, and sensitive matters. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Soldiers' career development within the Guard while providing comprehensive personnel assistance across various divisions.

• Oversee strength management and distribution activities
• Ensure the readiness, health, and welfare of all Soldiers
• Manage postal and personnel accountability
• Maintain emergency notification records

In addition to developing valuable skills, you will be contributing to a brighter future. As an HR Specialist, you will acquire competencies applicable in various civilian roles, particularly in human resources and personnel management sectors.

Training and Development

Rather than incurring costs to learn these skills, you will receive compensation while training. Your journey in the Army National Guard includes 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn foundational Soldiering skills, followed by 9 weeks of Advanced Individual Training and hands-on instruction. This training will equip you with essential skills such as typing, preparing Army documentation, managing personnel records, and utilizing computer systems for data management.

Requirements:
