About the Opportunity:

Join our team and become an expert in the exciting world of luxury fashion authentication. As an Authentication Specialist, you will receive extensive training to expertly verify the authenticity of pre-owned luxury items from illustrious brands including Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermes, and beyond. Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate luxury handbags and accessories to ensure authenticity.
  • Conduct online research to remain informed on current designer trends and authenticity indicators.
  • Accurately document authentication results and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Develop, or help develop, written and visual authentication guides.
  • Engage in group learning sessions and contribute to knowledge sharing on authentication topics.
  • Complete certification through all courses provided by Fashionphile University.
What We're Looking For:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable working with ambiguous situations
  • A keen eye for detail to minimize the incidence of errors
  • Previous experience with luxury brands is highly desirable
  • Acute use of senses - vision, olfaction, and tactile perception - to detect counterfeits
  • Physical stamina for prolonged periods of inspection
  • A commitment to reliability and aspiration for career progression
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Preferably experienced with customer service communications via email
  • Strong team player and capable of working autonomously
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced workplace
  • Availability to work weekends if necessary

Compensation:

Pay Rate: This position begins at $27.00/HR for all New Hires into FASHIONPHILE's Chelsea, NY location. Every Employee will have the opportunity for continued promotional opportunities via our Benchmarking Program which offers Title and Pay changes as you grow with the company.
