Overview:
Embark on an exciting journey as a Machine Builder, where you'll play a pivotal role in assembling and debugging cutting-edge automation designs. Join a dynamic team that supports automation upgrades and equipment transfers to facilities worldwide, contributing to the company's global success.
Pay: $30-35/hr (Depending on Experience)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and debug automation equipment, ensuring compliance with all required specifications, including engineering validation, product verification, and machine qualification.
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot automation stations and components, addressing assembly and product issues, adjusting manufacturing processes, and responding promptly to production requirements.
  • Perform electrical field wiring of sensors, valves, and motors, ensuring clean and organized machine wiring harnesses.
  • Supervise and assist in the disassembly, packaging, unpacking, and commissioning of automation equipment installed in global facilities.
  • Provide technical support for launching new equipment, including training technicians and operators on proper and safe operation and product assembly.
  • Attend design reviews and PFMEA sessions, collaborating with Automation Design Engineers to improve current and future designs of automation equipment.
  • Understand and contribute to complete projects according to internal product development procedures, TQM, and quality standards, embracing Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems.
  • Provide insights and design considerations for machine controls and operator interface panels to enhance reliability and ease of operation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Technical Trade School certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or equivalent.
  • Experience with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible (robotics) assembly systems.
  • Proficiency in component inspection using various metrology tools.
  • Toolmaking skills, including operation of manual and CNC machining, grinding, and heat-treating equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of CAD software.
  • Ability to read and interpret tool detail, assembly, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Proficiency in geometric shop calculations.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% per year.
