Compensation:
$30-35/hr (Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and troubleshoot automation machinery, ensuring adherence to all necessary specifications, including engineering validation, product verification, and machine qualification.
Fabricate, assemble, modify, and resolve issues related to automation stations and components, addressing assembly challenges, adjusting manufacturing workflows, and responding swiftly to production demands.
Conduct electrical field wiring for sensors, valves, and motors, ensuring that machine wiring harnesses are organized and tidy.Oversee and assist in the disassembly, packaging, unpacking, and commissioning of automation systems installed in various global locations.
Offer technical assistance for the launch of new equipment, including training technicians and operators on safe and effective operation and assembly processes.
Participate in design reviews and PFMEA sessions, collaborating with Automation Design Engineers to enhance existing and future automation equipment designs.
Comprehend and contribute to the completion of projects in accordance with internal product development protocols, TQM, and quality standards, embracing Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems.
Provide insights and design recommendations for machine controls and operator interface panels to improve reliability and usability.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Technical Trade School certification.
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a toolmaker, machine builder, or in a similar role.
Experience with high-speed synchronous, asynchronous, and flexible (robotics) assembly systems.
Skilled in component inspection utilizing various metrology tools.
Toolmaking capabilities, including operation of manual and CNC machining, grinding, and heat-treating equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with CAD software.
Ability to read and interpret tool detail, assembly, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
Proficiency in geometric shop calculations.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% per year.
