Description: Legrand is currently looking for a Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to join their Data Center Power & Control Division in Canonsburg, PA. The main responsability of this position is to support import/export compliance initiatives by collaborating with Freight Forwarders, Governmental Customs Agencies, Customs Brokers, and Business units to ensure proper submission of information to government agencies and establish procedures for compliance. The Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist will be in charge of maintaining data integrity reported to the government and ensuring departments are following Legrand's Import/Export Compliance Manual. Additionally, this role will also involve supporting the C-TPAT program.
What Will You Do?
- Liaison with customs broker(s) for daily activities and issue resolution
- Review import/export documents before shipments for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations by staying updated with government agency regulations
- Maintain metrics related to trade compliance activities
- Assist in research and preparation of various customs documents
- Support in product and vendor data validation for compliance claims
- Participate in C-TPAT program maintenance
- Provide training on import/export compliance for internal customers
- Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving departments for quantity discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in international transportation and customs compliance, or equivalent education and experience
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge in Customs & Border Protection laws and regulations
- Professional qualifications in trade compliance and logistics
- Ability to interpret government regulations and technical language
- Detail-oriented and excellent follow-through skills
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the C-TPAT program
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- Office environment, some travel required
- International travel as needed
