We are seeking a skilled Trader to join our team at Balchem. As a Trader, you will be responsible for executing the company's bid week strategies through physical gas trading, optimization of pipeline capacity, and origination of new customer relationships.

• Execute specific sales for volumes produced in the following month as well as in the next day market as planned by the overall trading strategy.
• Maintain acceptable imbalance positions as set forth by the trading strategy in conjunction with the scheduling team.
• Adhere to all internal controls to ensure compliance with all credit and risk policies.
• Develop strategic relationships with several different customers.
• Follow and abide by all FERC rules and regulations pertaining to trading of natural gas.
• Generate sales strategies around their area of focus for the morning strategy meetings that provide an uplift in revenue for the company's production.
• Data entry and verification of trade deals into the company's trading system.
• Responsible for seeing their sales transactions through from execution to payment and being the point of contact for any questions or concerns regarding their transactions.

• Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• 4+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree in Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of regional pipeline grid and financial derivatives related to energy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
