What we are seeking:


We are in need of a Laborer to assist in the construction of landfill gas collection systems and other environmental pollution control systems. This role will involve reporting to the Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Senior Field Technician, or Project Foreman on site.


How you can contribute:

  • Support project personnel with hand excavation/digging tasks (using shovels or picks)
  • Assist in excavations and pipe installations alongside equipment operators to clear earth, plants, and debris that heavy machinery cannot handle
  • Aid in fusing pipe by operating fusion equipment under the guidance of a fusion technician, preparing the area for fusing procedures
  • Operate dump trucks for waste removal from excavation sites and gas well drilling areas
  • Assist in setting up drilling equipment, clearing debris, and pouring materials for piping installation in drilled gas well holes
  • Install metal stakes and retaining materials to secure piping on hillsides/slopes
  • Participate in pipe fusion, gas piping installation, and leachate/condensate system piping installation in excavated areas
  • Work in confined spaces to install new gas system or leachate/condensate system piping
  • Perform repairs on leachate and condensate lines, as well as connect and cut piping using power saws and drills
  • Maintain LFG gas system liquid pumps and sumps for gas system wellheads or leachate systems

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in mechanical systems' operation and maintenance or pipeline construction
  • Prior experience working outdoors and willingness to travel for job assignments are desirable
  • Ability to meet physical demands for driving, lifting heavy equipment, hand excavation, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
