This positions is responsible for supporting the Programming and Operations Department of WKU Public Media in a variety of ways.

Duties include serving as a Master Control Operator, assisting in file and database management, reviewing and updating broadcast operations procedures, and conducting readings and system checks in compliance with FCC regulations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • To provide supplemental production content verification of video and audio file quality, monitor program logs.
  • Conduct transmitter readings and tower light checks in compliance with FCC regulations.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating workflow procedure documentation
  • Serve as master control operator on an as needed basis.
  • Supplemental file transfer and log creation duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least two years of experience in broadcast operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of broadcast traffic operations
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work with university staff, students, and clients in a positive and collegial manner.

Additional Information:

Hourly Rate:
$12.00
