The main objective of the role is to:
To act as the Manager for Force Structure and Sustainment. Responsible for administering, managing, and executing personnel force structure actions associated with BRAC, Total Force Integration (TFI), unit/mission changes, Site Activation Task Forces (SATAF), and A-76 conversions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, manages, executes, and evaluates the Air Combat Command Director of Personnel, Manpower, and Services' Forces Structure program.
  • Leads in planning and directing command-wide enlisted personnel distribution.
  • Documents planning and programming decisions in appropriate formats to meet Air Force and Major Command requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems.
  • Examples of specialized experience include knowledge of DoD and Air Force military organizational structures, lines of authorities, delegation authorities, and major operations and missions.
  • Expert knowledge of the Total Force Integration concept, officer and enlisted assignments, separations, retirements, and associated personnel systems.
  • Ability to interpret requirements and translate knowledge into command operational requirements applied to HQ and wing level personnel and operations.

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to use highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to use office automation software and peripherals.
  • Skill in applying policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to assess improvement areas for command level plans and programs.
