POSITIONSUMMARY: Provides assistance and support to theCredentialing Coordinator with the day to day operations andfunctions of payer enrollment.



Requirements

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:  High schooldiploma or equivalent required.

SKILLS: 

  • Strong English reading and writingskills
  • Ability to communicate effectivelyutilizing strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Abilityto learn new software programs and operate general officeequipment
  • Excellent telephone skills, withability to transmit and receive information accurately
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionand in stressful situations and perform multiple taskssimultaneously

EXPERIENCE: Two yearssecretarial or administrative experience.  Experience withMicrosoft Word andExcel.         

NATURE OF SUPERVISION: 

-Responsible to: Credentialing Coordinator and Medical GroupDirector of Finance

 ENVIRONMENT: General office environment and general hospitaldepartments/nursing units (100%) of the day.

- Bloodborne pathogen  A

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Ability to move around the hospital toall units/departments and off-site clinics for about 20% of theday, sitting in office 80% of the day.  Use of computer toenter data, type reports and request reports.  Requires closework, good vision, dexterity to write as well as type. Subject to stressful professional relationships.  Workinghours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in scheduleand emergencies.
