Position Summary
This role provides essential support to the Credentialing Coordinator in managing the day-to-day operations and functions of payer enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of applications.
- Maintain accurate records of provider credentials and contracts with various payers.
- Communicate effectively with payers, providers, and internal stakeholders regarding enrollment status and requirements.
- Track and monitor application submissions, renewals, and any outstanding items.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements within the credentialing department.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills:
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication (both verbal and written).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new software programs and operate standard office equipment.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to convey information accurately.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: Two years of administrative or secretarial experience preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is beneficial.
